We offer more than one activation method for both trials and purchased licenses. This helps the user to actually go through the activation and installation while testing so they can see first hand how easy the process is.

We manage 3 different activation methods.

Per Seat

For this activation method, the client will need a serial number/license key PER DEVICE. This means that activation must be done on each device with one serial number each.

Per Class

In order to use this activation method,  the client must know already the distribution of your licenses/devices. The client must know how many students there are Per Classroom.

With this activation method, one serial number will be provided PER CLASSROOM. This allows the client to activate only on the teacher console and from there connect as many students as requested when requesting the license.

This serial number will be limited to the amount of student requested when purchasing and distributing the licenses. For example, 1 teacher + 35 students. The PER CLASS license will be limited to 35 students and only a total of 35 students will be able to connect to the teacher console where you activated.

Per School/License Server

This method is only available for WINDOWS devices.

Different from the above, with this method you won’t need to register any licenses on the teacher or student console, instead, the client will have to use 1 device (laptop/desktop/windows tablets) as a server for Mythware.

On this device, the client must install the License Server Program. By using one serial number to register on the license server computer, users can easily control the teacher licenses and student licenses. The serial number is locked down to the physical machine which is used as the server.

Online/Offline Activation.

When the customer activates ONLINE: 

1. The Planet TechEd team provides the serial numbers for the activation like the following:  XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX

2. Customer sends the Serial Number/Machine Identify pair to Planet TechEd . Machine Identify is a digital numbers string generated by the machine after the software is installed.

3. The software connects the Internet License Server and completes the activation.

When the customer activated OFFLINE

1. Customer request a Serial Number from Planet TechEd for the machine like this: XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX

2. Customer sends the Serial Number/Machine Identify pair to Planet TechEd . Machine Identify is a digital numbers string generated by the machine after the software is installed.

3. Planet TechEd returns a License File to the customer.

4. The customer enters the License File into the software and completes the activation.
