The quick answer is No. No Special Router is needed. 

Most modern access points, switches and routers support the configuration needed by Mythware Classroom Management to perform the connection between devices with no latency and good performance.

Having said that, there are a few recommendations that we put in place to make sure deployment, connection and management of the devices within the network is as smooth as possible.
